With the announcement of B&N and Microsoft announcing an e-reader partnership, it will just be a matter of time before they try to license to their biggest cash cow the enterprise.

13.1 Before Sunrise, Thanks Pandora (@Pandora)
At the beginning of the year I set out to run at least one 1/2 marathon a month. The plan was to run the Carmel half last weekend but that didn’t happen due to conflicts with coaching my son’s baseball team. So this morning I started out to get 13.1 miles in and was concerned as I haven’t been running any long distances but rather 5-6 miles of hills 3 times a week. This plan...

Could this be more vague? "Apple '10 years'... →
As a Mac user, I don’t discount that Apple has some issues to address when it comes to responding to Malware but this article is about as vague as you can get. If Kapersky, wanted to sell his software then he would point out the specific areas where Apple is 10 years behind. Is it in the OS architecture? Patching turn around time? etc???

Yeah, release in the same month as the next... →
To beat a dead horse. This is a more than a few years late and several dollars short. Again, RIM fails in trying to release a device in the same month that the next iPhone will most likely be released. The even bigger failure is that this OS version will not run on any legacy hardware. The last time I checked every iOS release has worked on previous hardware released.

And He's Right! "Tim Cook says Windows 8-style... →
Tim Cook is spot on in stating that the combining of the PC and Tablet into a single experience is not a good one. Windows device manufactures have been trying to achieve this experience since Microsoft launched the Windows XP Tablet Edition. There have been dozens of these devices and not one of them has taken off in the mainstream. This is not going to change with the introduction of Windows...

Microsoft (M$) Continues to Stick It to the...
As I sat down to compose this post this morning I was tempted to title it Money, Money, Money and you will understand why after reading. So several blogs (see below) have responded to Microsoft’s Blog post on 4/18 where they outline new licensing that is coming with Windows 8. This yet another attempt, as it first started with Windows 7 VDA (see next paragraph), for Microsoft to make money...

Much appreciated Microsoft! "Managing "BYO" PCs in... →
The timing of this article on the MSDN blog is truly amazing from the standpoint that I just had a discussion on this exact topic with Microsoft during an envisioning session on mobility. This information makes it an even more compelling case for enterprises to have plans to move to Windows RT (WOA) tablets later this year. My only fear with with Windows 8 tablets, be it Intel or Arm, is that...
