Why I am done with Google +
Several weeks ago the attached story described how the social service from Google is a ghost town. Since this article was written, I have came to the same conclusion for the following reasons and therefore won’t be on Google + that much in the future.
Google + is designed for primary use on a desktop or laptop device which I am using less and less each day. The only time I am on one of these devices is at work where Google+ is blocked by my company’s web filter.
There is no true native app for the iPad. Yes, I know the iPad is a competitor to Android but it is still the #1 tablet device and there needs to be a native app.
The mobile app on the iPhone is a miserable experience with the inability to hide the comments and extra details for posts. In this case, Google should take a queue from the design of Facebook’s app.
These may seem like petty reasons for not using Google+ but it is enough for keeping this IT geek from accessing the service on a regular basis, if at all.
